Are you having Broadband Problems?

If your Sky Broadband service has stopped working or has a fault, the first thing you should do is check your phone line. About Sky Broadband

Sky Broadband is an internet service provider for Sky customers and officially launched in 2005. Sky Broadband can provide their customers with speeds of up to 20 Mbit for downloading from Sky enabled exchanges, and speeds of up to 76Mbit from FTTC exchanges. Sky do offer free broadband services for digital TV subscribers as long as they are in a Sky Broadband network area. Sky use their wireless hub which is a wireless router that is sent to all Broadband customers.

Sky managed to add 100,000 subscribers to their network in the first quarter of 2015 and their total customer base now stands at around 5.53 million with an average customer spend of £47 and are the second largest internet service provider in the UK.

Sky’s recent success has been boosted by the acquisition of Telefonica’s broadband business in summer 2013. Prior to that, they managed to win business from the competition by offering cheaper subscriptions to around 80% of UK homes. 2014 did see BT Broadband taking a slight dip, largely due to Telefonica’s (O2 and Be) customers being dissatisfied with the service they had been receiving from Sky. As stated earlier though, Sky Broadband have recently seen a return to form and with the news that they are looking at launching mobile phone services by 2016 the future still seems bright for Sky.
