Thetrainline is significantly recognised across the UK as a high quality and reliable booking website due to its popularity and has recently started to sell tickets over their app across all platforms from iOS to android. This follows thetrainlines new partnership with google maps allowing their customers to see train routes, train times and bookings on their phone. The growth in thetrainline can be seen through the increasing number of tickets bought on their website per annum and also the expansion of sales of their own products to other organisations such as rail ticket printers and self service kiosks.

Thetrainline headquarters their organisation from London whilst also having a main office in Edinburgh distributing tickets across all UK train platforms and also the majority of european cities such as Munich and Paris. The large variety of distribution allows their customers to travel to a broad range of places and have of recent introduced new deals on their websites such as tours, car hires and hotel deals as they now aim to give their customers a whole holiday package deal.

The Trainline Call Centres

Thetrainline has its own call centre service where they deal with any problems or enquirers made by customers. Since 2011, customers can now request a refund on their tickets if they are unhappy with the services provided. In terms of online train ticket sales,  thetrainline’s main competitor is WebTIS.
